Rooftop Covid19 Update 4 - Job Coaches, ASB, Join our Board
May 20, 2020 Season 1 Episode 7
Rooftop Housing Group

This time we hear from Jacqueline Whitehead the Job Coach team leader and Nick Bennett on of the Rooftop Job Coaches about how they're helping the local community through the Covid Crisis.

Boris Worrall, Rooftop Group Chief Executive updates about the 1000 plus wellfare calls we've made.

Julia Harrison our Head of Neighbourhoods and Income, and Emma Cornock one of our Neighbourhood Managers looks at what to do with Anti-social behaviour issues.

Plus - you could join the Rooftop Board -

We are looking for people who are passionate about making a difference in the communities in which we work.  It is important that our new tenant Board Member can work as part of a team, help us set the strategic direction of Rooftop Housing Group and ensure that we continue to perform well in challenging times.

We are seeking applications from individuals who have direct experience of receiving its services, who can demonstrate an ability to put people at the heart of what we do, have a strategic mindset and an ability to work with our Executive Team to develop our services in a changing environment.

You will be IT literate and have knowledge of the social housing sector, together with an understanding of the challenges that face our communities would be an advantage.

Being a Board Member requires a time commitment of approximately 3 days each month to attend meetings (held during office hours) and you will receive an allowance of £4,319 per annum plus any expenses incurred carrying out your duties. Training will also be available to support you with your duties.

We are an equal opportunities employer and encourage those from under-represented groups to apply to ensure that our Board reflects the profile of the local communities and our customers.  We also value the contribution that Board members who consider themselves to have a disability would make.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications will be 12 noon on 3 June 2020.

Or, for an informal discussion, please contact Caroline Allen, Head of Governance at caroline.allen@rooftophousinggroup.org or telephone 01386 420800 Ext 1233
